Day 1; Airport Pick-up & Transfer to Your Accommodation in Arusha
Welcome to Tanzania! Upon your arrival, a warm-hearted representative from Highneck will be waiting to greet you at the airport and escort you to your accommodation in Arusha. Depending on your arrival time, you’ll have the opportunity to relax and prepare for the thrilling adventure ahead.

Day 2; Journey from Arusha to Tarangire National Park, an Elephant Paradise
After breakfast, your Highneck Safari guide will collect you from your accommodation to begin the day’s adventure. You’ll head to Tarangire National Park, a scenic drive of about two and a half hours on well-paved roads. Named after the Tarangire River, the lifeline for wildlife during the dry season, this park is renowned for its impressive herds of elephants that often gather near the riverbanks.
As you explore, you may also spot giraffes, bushbucks, hartebeest, and possibly predators like lions and leopards lurking nearby. Tarangire boasts the highest variety of bird species found anywhere on Earth, making it a paradise for bird enthusiasts. Scattered across the landscape are majestic baobab trees, some estimated to be over a thousand years old, adding to the park’s unique beauty. You’ll enjoy a picnic lunch at a designated site within the park.

Day 3; Karatu to Serengeti NationaL Park
After breakfast, you'll journey into the cooler highlands of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Along the way, take time to pause and admire the stunning panoramic views of the Ngorongoro Crater one of Africa's most iconic landscapes. From there, your adventure continues as you travel through the conservation area en route to the southern region of the Serengeti National Park.
The Serengeti is a world-renowned wildlife haven, celebrated for its endless plains and exceptional game-viewing opportunities. While it hosts an incredible range of animals year-round, it’s especially famous for the Great Migration. Depending on the season, you may witness this awe-inspiring event, where thousands of wildebeest, zebras, and antelope traverse the plains in search of greener pastures.
Enjoy a scenic picnic lunch during your day’s journey, and later, settle in for a magical overnight stay at your carefully selected lodge or camp, nestled within the heart of the Serengeti.

Day 4; Serengeti National Park

Day 5; Serengeti National Park to Ngorongoro Crater, a Big Five Haven
After a filling breakfast, you’ll set off on a picturesque drive toward the iconic Ngorongoro Crater, taking in sweeping vistas and spotting wildlife along the way. Your afternoon will be spent exploring this natural marvel before continuing on to your lodge in Karatu.
The Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is a stunning natural amphitheater formed over two million years ago by a massive volcanic eruption. It is the world’s largest intact caldera and serves as a rich haven for wildlife. Within its steep volcanic walls lies a diverse landscape of golden grasslands, sparkling lakes, verdant swamps, and acacia-dotted woodlands.
Descending into the crater is a true highlight, offering panoramic views and close encounters with abundant wildlife. On the crater floor, you’re likely to see herds of wildebeest, zebras, gazelles, and an astonishing variety of birds—over 500 species, including flamingos and crowned cranes. You may even spot the rare black rhino roaming the plains.

Day 6; Walking Safari & Game Drive in Lake Manyara National Park, then Transfer to the Airport
This morning, you’ll head to Lake Manyara National Park, your final stop on this unforgettable safari journey. Located about 120 km west of Arusha, this small but incredibly diverse park offers a unique blend of landscapes and wildlife experiences.
Though compact in size, Lake Manyara packs a powerful punch. It lies within the dramatic setting of the Great Rift Valley, with the towering escarpment providing a stunning backdrop to the park’s shallow, seasonal salt lake. The lake itself expands and contracts with the rains and serves as a vital habitat for thousands of wading birds, including vibrant flocks of flamingos and over 500 other bird species.
As you explore, you may encounter large troops of baboons and elusive elephants moving through the lush evergreen forests. And keep your eyes on the trees, Lake Manyara is renowned for its rare tree-climbing lions, a fascinating sight that draws wildlife enthusiasts from around the world.
